Euro Soccer Nottinghamshire Senior League
Match Report 10/10/2021
The weekends keep coming and coming as the Eurosoccer Nottinghamshire Senior League begins to
shape up the title favourites and the relegation dogfights going into the winter months.
A big milestone was to be found in the Premier Division as Adrian Ford refereed his 1000 th game,
Ilkeston Development and Attenborough participated in this great occasion which saw the home
side dominate from start to finish beating Attenborough 10-1 after being 5-0 up at half time with
two players getting hattricks. Who gets the matchball?
Stapleford would continue their chase for top spot of the Premier Division as they overturned
Aslcokton & Orston 6-0, but Sandiacre would keep first place, beating FC Sez away from home
thanks to a late winner from Perry McGrath.
Wollaton would get their first win after three losses, a goal in added time after missing a penalty in
the second half relieved some pressure on the side as they continue to consolidate their top half
spot.
A new top of the table team was crowned this weekend in Division One, Radford Reserves’ 5-1 win
over Meden Vale Colts pushing them to the pinnacle, taking advantage of Radcliffe Olympics’ week
off and West Bridgford’s loss to Beeston Old Boys, who are now second on goal difference.
The two bottom sides faced off when Calverton Miners Welfare travelled to Pythian, ending in a 1-1
draw that maintained the status quo at the lower end of the table, despite Stapleford Reserves
falling 8-0 to Beeston.
FC Geordie got their first win of the season in an exciting away win ending 5-4 at Kimberley Miners
Welfare Reserves to move the Geordies up the table.
Only three games in the North side of Division Two, Bestwood Colliery stayed undefeated due to
beating winless AFC Cresswell in a dominant 7-1 win. Elsewhere saw wins for Blidworth Welfare and
Nottingham Community.
East Leake Robins continued their stronghold over the Division Two South, going 6 wins in 6 as they
beat Bingham Town Reserves 9-3 away from home to stay at the top of the table, Mason Ball getting
a hattrick.
Manor are still winless in the Foundation Division, losing 4-2 to Wollaton. Top side Carlton Town
Lions also got the win while 3 points also went to Rushcliffe, Stapleford, and Sutton Travellers.
To round out the games in the Eurosoccer Nottinghamshire Senior League, the Development
Division saw two games and two clean sheets. A massive win for Basford United as they overturned
Ruddington Village 14-0 away at Elms Park with 8 different goalscorers. Clifton All Whites got their
third win in a row in a 3-0 win over Beeston.
