Netherfield Albion were formed in 1931 and within four years won their first piece of silverware, the Notts FA Intermediate Cup in front of a 2,625 crowd at Meadow Lane against Ransome & Marles. The club played in teh Notts Alliance until the late 1970's and after a stint two and from the District & Spartan League and the Alliance, in 1990 they joined the Notts Amateur League. After two seasons in the Premier Division the club suffered a downward spiral but under the stewardship of Shaun Pates the club went from Division Four back to the Premier in only four years. After a third placed finish in 2004, the club suffered near collapse but last season transformed under Alan Avery's Management and won the NAA Premier four years after becoming founder members of the merger. After over thirty years at Colwick Rectory, the club now play at Stoke Lane, also home of East Midlands Counties side Gedling Town.
